KNIP (Small Nature Initiative Project)

KNIP is a bilateral financial LNV instrument that allows its staff at embassy level worldwide (focus on Matra countries as well as DGIS priority countries) to support initiatives relating to biodiversity conservation and sustainable development in the region. Initiatives supported may vary by country but will be in line with earlier BBI and actual BB (Biodiversity Policy programme) objectives and implementation strategies: strengthening bilateral relations between the Netherlands and the receiving country, supporting policy development, strengthening of civil society, exchanging of information and capacity building.

KNIPs are small grants (also called seed money). More information on KNIP can be found by visiting the virtual KNIP office in the left-hand menu.
